Remember when Black Star (Mos Def and Talib Kweli) came out with "Brown Skin Lady", or when De La Soul came out with "Ego Trippin'"? These are the feelings M1 Platoon bring. All except one from the DMV area, these guys' sound remind me of rap from the 90's. Scoopay, Sean D, Big Chopps, and Arafat Yates each bring their own style to the group and the vibe is obvious. Diddy definitely did not invent this remix. In respect to Bad Boy, Diddy and Ciroc and Kim and all that good stuff...STEP ASIDE PLEASE SIR!!!! From "Spaceship" to "Pixi Stix" these deck toting mofos have done it again. I'm always impressed with The Cranberry Show's work. I could go on about tracks I call my favorite such as: "Must Be a Poser" and "Mary Poppinz", but why? I have come to the conclusion that these underdogs from Milwaukee are on their way to the top. Chester French's "Sleep" has graduated from my $#!+ <--- (that word is shit) to THE $#!+ <------ all because of Arcane and Young Focus of The Cranberry Show. With the incredible Jacques Jams vol. 1: Endurance mixtape and Love The Future LP , D.A. and Max stole my attention last summer with "Pleaseure Squad" and kept it ever since.

At one point being an asshole was not so cool. These jerks known as the New Boyz are cute, they can dance, and they wear skinny jeans!!!!! WHOA!!!! When it's time to sit down and mellow out Mr. Spitz is the guy to search for. The NY native makes music from the heart and it is obvious. Would I blast his music on the way to the club??? Naw, but I will make sure his tracks are on my ipod when I need a mental escape. He does not have a song that tells you how to dance and when to do it. Does Nas? Think about it!

His political views are discernible in his song "Who's That Man". *sniffs air* Do I sense some controversy from this artist? You be the judge check it out at http://www.myspace.com/rockyspitz. Being apart of "The Black Hippi" movement what do you expect? Marijuana, flowers, and a chick named Sunshine wearing bell bottoms and angel sleeved shirts? The definition of an apprentice is to be a beginner or a learner. Artitst Apprentiz is definitely a beginner to my ears. Up and coming UK native Apprentiz is like a cool classic rock meets 8mile. Not a problem if that's what you listen to but I would definitely change the station if one of his songs came on the radio. Maybe if he didn't rap and just sang I could nod to his beats. Hot tracks terrible flow. It really doesn't seem to come from the heart but who am I to judge? I was taught if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it all sooo I'm gonna leave it where it is.

Picture this: Pharrell, Chad, and Shay of N.E.R.D gets really drunk and high along with Mickey Rockz and Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids, they go to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and gang bang some random chick; the product would definitely be "THE CRANBERRY SHOW", yes, "THE CRANBERRY SHOW" catchy??? Yea I know.

I would not blame you if you began to wonder where in the hell did they get a name like "THE CRANBERRY SHOW". Well im not telling, go to www.myspace.com/cranberryshow and find out for yourself!!!

A year or two ago some random guy requested me as a friend on myspace, I did the norm. I accepted the request, checked out some pics, and scammed through his page while listening to the music. Now, what was out of the ordinary was the fact that I began to vibe with the music on this particular page. Everybody has music on myspace so I did not think too much of it, but it was something about these two halves of this group called "THE CRANBERRY SHOW", yes, "THE CRANBERRY SHOW" that kept me wanting more!!! I would go back to the page often to see if there were any track updates.

A year or two from then, some more hard work, and some more experience Arcane and Young Focus of "THE CRANBERRY SHOW", yes, "THE CRANBERRY SHOW" has done something to me that music has not done in a while, and that is get me excited to hear a new song! Both representing Milwaukee or what they call MilRockee, currently with Unleashed Music Ent. these guys have talent and the energy that entertainers must possess. Not to mention their drollness is transcendent!!! I feel like I deserve the right to say Arcane and Young Focus are what they rap about, and they don't rap about what they are.

Cleverness and dope beats are necessities to make it in this industry, and "THE CRANBERRY SHOW" has it. With tracks like "Tearin' Down The Block" and one of my favorites "Must Be A Poser" these guys from the fourth coast has the demeanor that will make titties bounce and panties drop. And their wit speaks for itself.
